Hi! I’m Amy.
I’m based in San Francisco. I’m an artist, a teacher and a changemaker.
I trained intensively to become a Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). This training means I can help to release behavior you no longer want by making changes to the way it is wired into your brain. It may sound cold or technical, but I trained at NLP Marin in San Rafael, CA, an amazing school that teaches what is quite probably the deepest level of rapport possible. This lets me work with your most dark and tender emotional spots in a compassionate and respectful way.
I also have a Master’s Degree in Transformative Arts from JFK University in Berkeley, CA. This is a unique program and community that pays as much attention to the internal experience of the artist as to their artwork, and also to how we can leverage the power of art for transformation. Yes, art explicitly as a tool for change! I love it!
One specific transformative art tool that I have under my belt is SoulCollage, developed by Seena Frost. Collage is great for archetypal work and visioning. And it’s fun in groups too, so my workshops often incorporate collage with visioning activities.
Finally, I must mention Family Constellation work, brought to us by Bert Hellinger. As a facilitator of this amazing work, whether in a group or one-on-one, I can attend to the ways in which you may be entangled with your “family soul.” Despite your own best efforts and without your knowledge, your relationship to the family soul might be holding you back in your life or work.
And, yes indeed I am a creative as well. I do all kinds of art of my own and have a BA in Art. I work with sound, photography, assemblage and I sing Bossa Nova, too. My professional background includes many years in the graphic design industry and several years as a college-level educator. If you want to know me better, let’s talk!
